I have had my mat for appx 5 months now. I absolutely love it. It is soft and grippy in the right ways and the colors are exceptional. I truly do believe that it elevated my yoga practice. Now, for the only con I have found... I practice daily, have a furry dog and took it with me on vacation so I decided to wash it. I washed per the instructions (soap nuts, gentle cycle, tap cold, no spin), and was devastated to see that I had nearly ruined the mat. The colors bled together and the threading came apart on the sides. Fortunately, Öko Living has exceptional customer service and are sending me a new mat. However, please please don't wash your mat-- especially not in the washing machine. Spot clean!!! I still give this mat and Öko 5 stars because it's been an absolute joy to have this mat in my life. I recommend this mat to anyone who asks :-)

This mat feels so nice and earthy! I was looking for a natural alternative to my manduka mat, that would feel really gentle and supportive. This mat is that 100%! Love the feel, grip, color, and material. I haven’t noticed any issues with grip, and find the woven texture really nice on my hands, I actually prefer it. I did feel like it was a bigger investment, but so far the mat feels really durable and you can tell it so made with quality materials. The color was more vibrant in person, very pink! I had ordered the earth mat first and ended up not liking that color in person so I exchanged for this one. I think plant dyes just exude more character in person. I look forward to practicing on my mat every day, and to see how well it washes and holds up over time. Love seeing it out in my space too, gorgeous! Thank you! ❤️
