The color is beautiful and the grooves at the top and bottom of the mat are great for so many yoga moves!

    Love it

So happy with this yoga mat. I’ve been looking for an eco-friendly mat and Im so glad I found this. It grips the ground so well, so you don’t have to worry about slipping around at all, even with jumps to other areas of the mat. I can tell it’s really well made and it even smells good too :)

    Wonderful addition to my sadhna

This is truly a work of art. I lived in India for 6 years and definitely understand the value of keeping the traditions of hand looming alive in their quickly industrializing society. As a consciously living yoga practitioner, I can honestly say this mat is the best of both worlds. You get the values of supporting the environment, local Indian traditions, Ayurveda, and ethically sourced materials in a mat that is actually functional. I've had other natural rugs that just slip around on the floor. This one is great bc of the natural rubber treatment on the bottom. I also fold it and use for meditation. I was super excited to see a company implementing the tradition of Ayurvastra with specific herbal dyes. However, I do wish you could detect these more in the aroma. Although these mats are a bit costly, its an overall great investment. You not only get the mat which will last much longer than cheaper materials, but its good for the environment, supporting local and rural communities and you get a bag and soap nuts :) Def recommend! This mat is LIFE CHANGING

If you checked the site and are wondering to yourself, “damn, why are these so expensive?” It’s because you’ve never truly had a mat that is like this. OKO is one of a kind. The mat and carrier are BEAUTIFUL. The stitching make you wonder why you’ve never learned how to make fabric pieces your whole life (because I’m sure it’s insanely hard), but the work is amazing. Every time I look down at the rug I think to myself how beautiful this creation is that someone else has made for me and my practice. I’ve always used a traditional mat with a towel over it. I don’t know why I’ve been doing this my whole life (not to slip!) with this rug there is no uncomfortable movement. I am no longer slipping. I ordered another one lol omg the rose quartz! So now I will have the travel mat and the “home” mat!! I wasn’t sure about the tassels at first, but after doing my practice it made it SO much easier to have those! This MAKES me want to practice every day. It is worth the purchase and sure to last a long time. Thank you OKO! You’ve changed my life. For real.

    Soft & Grounding

I'm really happy with this mat. I was getting tired of plastic and rubbery mats and this mat looks and can be used just like a rug. A few friends have already sat on it while drinking tea and chatting. It does take a bit of getting used to during a yoga practice, mainly during downward dog, but it feels like a much more natural material to move on and feels great on my feet. The citrine color was slightly lighter and softer that it appears in the photos, but I'm still very happy with it and love the natural way in which it is dyed and made. It was the number one reason I decided to try it out. :)
