Happy spring! Each year, the beginning of spring is marked by the equinox and the start of Aries season. This is the astrological new year that calls in the fresh energy of renewal as the new cycle is initiated.
Astrologically speaking, spring 2023 is more potent and intense than most years, since we have some major transits that will be affecting each of us in distinct ways.
Spring is packed with astrology happenings! The equinox initiated with a new moon in Aries at zero degrees. This occurred amid movements of Saturn into Pisces and Pluto into Aquarius. These are both slow-moving planets (Saturn hasn’t been in Pisces since 1996, and the last time Pluto moved into Aquarius was the year 1777).
All of this is a precursor to eclipse season showing up with the next new moon being a total solar eclipse at 29 degrees Aries, all while Jupiter finishes transiting this sign.
Essentially, now is a time of change and heightened energy. In AstroYoga, Aries energy is connected with the solar plexus chakra, the brain, and eyesight. In general, Aries season connects you to the expression of your own inner light. Aries energy has a way of challenging you to let yourself shine through taking courageous, self-directed action.
With so much going on in Aries this spring, now is a time to connect not only to your sense of sight but also to your vision for your life. These heavy-hitting transits are here to serve as a reminder that you are an essential piece of humanity, and that when you align with what you see as the best possible way to use your inner light, you positively contribute to all of life around you.
Each sign can harness this energy in a slightly different way for their greatest benefit.
