Gemini Season lifts the veil of heaviness and invites you to engage. Where Taurus rooted you in presence, Gemini asks you to move, to think, to converse. This season is about the magic of connection—within yourself and with others.
In yoga, Gemini’s influence invites breath-based exploration, mobility through the upper body, and practices that balance your nervous system so that your mind and body can remain adaptable in motion.
Gemini rules the shoulders, arms, hands, and lungs—body parts that allow us to connect with the world and take action. These regions are innervated by complex neural networks that support dexterity, breath, and communication.
Gemini is also associated with the throat chakra, the energetic center responsible for expression, self-understanding, and speaking truth. During Gemini season, you may feel a call to express yourself more freely, to think in new patterns, or to move energy that’s been stuck in your nervous system.
Gentle shoulder openers, pranayama practices, and balancing breath with movement help you integrate the mutable air of Gemini. Practices that balance left and right sides of the body and brain—like alternate nostril breathing or eagle arms—are especially useful.
Gemini thrives on movement, both mental and physical. It’s a great time to take in new information, explore your local environment, or try a new creative modality.
Practice Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) to bring clarity and balance to the mind
Journal or voice-record your thoughts to track your inner dialogue
Try going somewhere new or reconnecting with an old friend
These poses help regulate the nervous system, open the shoulders and lungs, and connect the upper limbs to the breath.
Eagle Arms (Garudasana arms) – Balances the hemispheres of the brain and opens the upper back
Reverse Prayer Pose (Paschima Namaskarasana) – Opens the shoulders and heart while activating the throat
Crow Pose (Bakasana) – Builds focus, stimulates the arms and shoulders, and invites playful curiosity into your practice
Bonus: Practice Gemini-aligned poses with an awareness of your breath’s rhythm. Each inhale invites curiosity, each exhale releases rigidity.
