Libra season 2025 opens with the equinox, a moment when day and night come into equal measure. This year, Libra’s entry is amplified by an ongoing eclipse season, reminding us that balance is dynamic, often revealed by noticing where things are out of alignment.
Libra teaches us that balance is not about perfection but about recalibration. Its rulership over the kidneys and adrenal glands highlights how the body constantly manages stress and equilibrium. The kidneys filter the blood, removing waste and regulating the body’s chemistry. The adrenal glands, perched on top of each kidney, release hormones that prime the body for action under stress. When overworked, these systems can become depleted, leaving us fatigued or reactive.
In your own life, Libra season is an invitation to notice imbalance, release karmic patterns that trigger chronic stress responses, and cultivate steadiness in body, mind, and relationships.
Libra’s rulership of the kidneys and adrenals ties directly into how we process both external and internal stress. In yogic understanding, the kidneys govern vital energy flow, while the adrenals regulate the body’s ability to respond to challenges.
The lower back, also ruled by Libra, is the structural area that holds much of the body’s stress and compensations. When tension builds here, it often signals imbalance elsewhere in the body. Practices that stabilize the spine, open the low back, and regulate the breath help restore harmony to both body and mind.
Libra’s Venus rulership links these bodily processes with relationship and resonance, reminding us that balance is both internal and relational. Harmony in your body supports harmony in your connections with others.
Libra season invites you to restore balance by regulating stress and addressing karmic imbalances in the body. Eclipse season may magnify instability, but yoga and breath practices help you return to center.
Practice alternate-nostril breathing to calm the nervous system and regulate adrenal activity.
Meditate on balance by visualizing scales at your heart center, noticing where one side is heavier, and breathing until the image evens out.
Journal with prompts like: “Where is the equilibrium between opposites?” and “Where am I trying too hard?”
These postures strengthen the lower back, stimulate kidney energy flow, and regulate stress in the adrenals:
Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana): Strengthens the lower back and stabilizes the core.
Forward Folds (Paschimottanasana variations): Stimulate kidney meridians and support inner calm.
