Scorpio Season begins as the days shorten and the energy of nature turns inward. After Libra’s balancing act, Scorpio leads us into the realm of depth, where the surface gives way to the unseen roots of power and creation.
In the body, Scorpio governs the pelvic floor and reproductive organs: the generative centers through which energy becomes life. These are the physical symbols of creative potency, yet in AstroYoga, their meaning extends beyond biology. The same energy that creates new life can also create art, healing, wisdom, or enlightenment.
Scorpio’s rulership from Mars and Pluto ties this process to the transformative cycle of death and rebirth. It teaches that life is a continual process of burning energies to sustain life (literally, what the metabolism is doing at each moment). This energy demands release so that something more vital can emerge. This process isn’t intellectual: it lives in the body. When we access the core and pelvic floor through breath and movement, we access the waters of the deep in the body, our creative source, and our ability to transform shadow into strength.
The pelvic floor is the foundation of physical and energetic integrity. It stabilizes the spine, supports internal organs, and governs the flow of prana upward through the central channel. When this region is weak or tense, energy becomes blocked, manifesting as stagnation, fear, or control issues. When this area is strong and supple, it becomes a source of vitality, magnetism, and grounded power.
Scorpio is connected with your third chakra, called Manipura. This is the fiery center of transformation and will. This chakra is located at the solar plexus, and Manipura’s fire is stoked by the depth of Scorpio’s waters. This union of fire and water is an ancient symbol of the alchemy eternally present in life. Through focused awareness and yogic practice, you can direct this creative power toward higher purpose and self-realization.
Scorpio season invites deep energetic renewal. Work with your breath, core, and pelvic floor to transmute old energy into a source of regeneration and inner power. Practice alternate-nostril breathing to calm the nervous system and regulate adrenal activity.
Practice kapalabhati or bhastrika pranayama to clear blockages in the lower chakras
Meditate to connect with your inner depth and power
Journal prompts like: “How do I use my creative power (both consciously and unconsciously)? “Where in my life could I use some empowerment? Where in my life could I release control?”
These postures activate the pelvic floor, strengthen the core, and help move energy through the lower chakras to the solar plexus:
Malasana (Garland Pose): Opens and tones the pelvic floor and grounds energy into the earth.
Garudasana (Eagle Pose): Helps creative energies of the body to rise through the spinal centers to the third eye space.

Scorpio season reminds us that transformation and life embody both creation and destruction at the same time. Through the pelvic floor and Manipura chakra, we harness the same energy that gives rise to life itself. This is the season to face what’s hidden, release what’s ready to dissolve, and use the power within you to imagine your next steps.
