Leo Season invites you to shine from within. This is a time to embody your creative power, awaken confidence, and let the fire in your heart lead the way. Ruled by the Sun, Leo teaches us to radiate outward from a centered core—moving through life with purpose, warmth, and bold authenticity.
In yoga, Leo energy calls for practices that activate the spine, open the chest, and connect to the subtle inner fire that lives just behind the heart. It’s the perfect season to claim your light and let your practice reflect the soul of who you are.
Leo rules the heart, spine, and upper back—but its influence goes deeper. Just behind the physical heart lies the cardiac ganglia—a bundle of nerves often referred to as the "heart brain" that governs emotional regulation and intuitive strength. This powerful center is activated by postures that elongate the spine and energize the thoracic region.
Leo is also associated with the Third Eye Chakra, reminding us that true leadership is guided by vision, not ego. Through the bridge of breath and awareness, we align the heart and intuition, leading from inner wisdom.
During Leo Season, you may feel called to rise into your full presence. Practices that center the spine, expand the chest, and integrate the heart with the Third Eye awaken Leo’s radiant strength from the inside out.

Practice heart-expanding breathwork and brow vision (third-eye meditation) to anchor purpose with vision

Camel Pose (Ustrasana) – Expands the heart and throat, activating the cardiac ganglia and clearing emotional stagnation
Crescent Lunge with Cactus Arms – Strengthens the back body and energizes the heart while staying rooted
