Scorpio is the sign connected to the deeply held, transformative energy of the water element. In AstroYoga, water represents emotion, intuition, and the power to transmute life experiences into profound inner growth. Scorpio energy invites you to dive deeply into yourself to confront hidden truths and connect with the core of who you are, which contains a vast, stillness that is both peaceful and loving.
Ruled by Pluto, Scorpio is all about regeneration, rebirth, and embracing the cycles of change from your inner place of stillness. In astrology, Scorpio represents the capacity to face life’s mysteries, to create, and to evolve through them. Scorpio teaches the importance of shedding old layers and allowing transformation to take place. It’s a season to connect with your inner power and embrace the deep changes that occur beneath the surface. It’s this depth of being and non-resistance to change that allows for levity, creativity, and joy in life.
This Scorpio season is especially Plutonian, since it coincides with Pluto’s final moment in Capricorn before moving out of this sign until the year 2254. These are the final moments of transformation and maturation beyond old issues that took place in the last 15 years.
In astrology, Scorpio is associated with the reproductive organs and pelvis. These areas represent your ability to create, transform, and hold potential power and emotion. Scorpio energy relates to the cycles of birth, death, and rebirth, and these bodily areas connect to your potential energy that can be used for creation or channeled up the spine to regenerate your energy.
Scorpio is also connected to the manipura (solar plexus) chakra, the center that deals with movement out in the world. When you harness the creative potential of Scorpio into right action, your inner potential manifests externally.
During Scorpio season, it’s important to tend to your inner potential and power with care. Yoga postures that open and ground the hips and pelvis, such as pigeon pose, or garland pose, can help you tap into Scorpio energy. Practicing on an Oko Living rug can help you connect this energy to the earth through their natural fibers.
As you move through Scorpio season, give yourself permission to embrace the transformative energy within you. Be willing to dive deep into your experiences to confront what is ready to be released and renewed. Release old patterns, identities, or habits that have run their course, and allow space for new growth to emerge. By embracing transformation, you align yourself with your highest potential and step into your true power.
