Pisces is the fish, the only water sign in the zodiac associated with being fully immersed in water throughout its life. Unlike Cancer and Scorpio, whose primary figures carry protective shells, pinchers, or stingers, Pisces swims without defenses. It moves within the fluid nature of the universe itself. This immersion reflects a central Piscean truth: what appears solid is, at a deeper level, fluid.
Water in the zodiac connects to emotion, intuition, and the shifting nature of the subconscious mind. As mutable water, Pisces represents circulation and the movement of intuition, emotion, and imagination through subtle channels. When Pisces energy is strong, the body may feel more permeable, sensitive, and diffuse. With Pisces, the key is to soften into this sensitivity, but support it with grounding and acceptance rather than force.
Pisces rules the feet and the lymphatic system: the very mechanisms of connection and purification in the body. The feet connect you directly to the Earth and serve as energetic doorways, where meridians terminate and exchange information with the environment. The lymphatic system circulates the body’s water, dissolving toxins, balancing fluids, and supporting immunity.
When Pisces energy is supported, inspiration flows, and purification happens naturally. When it is unsupported, stagnation, fatigue, escapism, and overwhelm can arise. The following five practices are designed to support these Pisces functions: circulation, release, receptivity, and grounded inspiration.
Pisces rules the feet, your point of contact with the earth. Try standing with your bare feet anchored in the earth.
Spread your toes and connect to the support and strength in the feet. This is grounding. Energetically, grounding helps neutralize inflammation through the exchange of electrical charge with the earth. It also cleanses and stabilizes your auric field, a toroidal energy body extending beyond your physical form.
From Tadasana, shift into Tree Pose. Place the sole of one foot against the inner calf or thigh of the standing leg. Press into the midline of your form.
Tree Pose refines grounding into focused alignment. The standing foot anchors downward while the spine lengthens upward. Pisces energy can diffuse easily; Tree Pose channels it into the vertical channels.
This posture is a mudra or energetic seal. The areas where the energy field extends or loses energy are sealed (fronts of chakras, palms of hands, soles of feet, root, and crown), and the back chakras, where you receive energy, are open, particularly the back space of the heart. This posture is perfect to help restore energy and is particularly potent around the time of the spring equinox, extending into Aries season.
Sit with your feet touching and your knees wide. Curl your spine and place your head into the soles of your feet (or use a pillow or block if it doesn’t touch naturally). This posture, equally important for Aries and Pisces, connects the Aries-ruled head to the Pisces-ruled feet, creating a closed loop for your energy and a nourishing sense of groundedness.
Pisces rules the lymphatic waters, responsible for dissolving toxins and supporting immunity.
Lie down and bring your legs up against a wall. Support your hips with a pillow, and optionally wrap a blanket around your legs for additional structure and warmth.
This gentle inversion supports the lymph and gives your feet a break. Stay for several minutes.
Savasana represents ultimate surrender, the dissolution of form into pure energy.
Pisces is deeply connected to mystical states and the dissolution of rigid identity. In Savasana, the physical body rests while awareness remains present.
Lie flat on your back, and allow the weight of your body to be received by the Earth. Remain for 8 minutes or more.
Pisces reminds us that all forms are fluid. Even solid structures are composed of constantly moving particles, giving only the appearance of permanence. This is a season to tap into the fluid nature of life, to allow and release, while recognizing that permanence lives only in change and consciousness itself.

Tap into the fluid energy of Pisces in this 60-minute AstroYoga practice created to support lymphatic movement, restore energetic circulation, and reconnect you with the deeper currents of awareness that move beneath the surface of daily life.
This class emphasizes gentle, rhythmic movement, foot awareness practices, and postures that encourage lymphatic flow throughout the body. These are the energetic and anatomical areas connected with Pisces through the feet, immune and lymphatic systems, and the body’s subtle capacity for permeability and integration. Align with Pisces’ water element to soften tension, release accumulated emotional residue, and allow yourself to dissolve into a more expansive field of consciousness.
You will explore movements that stimulate lymphatic circulation, awaken sensitivity in the feet, and promote fluid energy flow through the subtle body. This practice is ideal for moments when you feel overwhelmed, energetically saturated, or in need of restoration and surrender. It is also supportive when the Moon moves through Pisces.
