For those attuned to its subtle energies, the full Moon becomes a conduit for personal growth and spiritual evolution. Each full Moon offers a unique experience, largely shaped by the astrological sign it inhabits on that particular day.
On the night of Friday, September2 9, 2023, the full Moon graces us with its presence in Aries, a cardinal fire sign that encourages us to take the initiative and pursue our aspirations. Aries, with its fiery disposition, urges us to stoke the fires of motivation and self-belief. While it's often associated with passion and even assertiveness, Aries' energy can serve as a potent catalyst for necessary transformations.
The full Moon in Aries marks an exceptionally auspicious time for fresh starts. It prompts us to examine areas of our lives where stagnation has set in and where change is overdue. It beckons us to rediscover our passions and desires. If you've been one to wait for the "perfect moment," the full Moon in Aries will provide the gentle push you've been awaiting. It's an opportune moment to nurture your inner confidence and place trust in your own capabilities. Ask yourself, "Why not me?" and "Why not now?”
This 30-minute vinyasa yoga sequence is designed to nurture your self-assurance and kindle your inner vitality. Given that Aries governs the head and neck regions, we'll commence with some stretches aimed at loosening this area. A seated pranayama practice will activate your solar plexus chakra, followed by a modified rendition of traditional Sun Salutations, aiding in mental clarity and focusing on prana, your life force energy. The Warrior series will challenge your balance and fortify your lower leg muscles, while soothing forward bends will provide a harmonious counterbalance to the fiery energy.
For enhanced concentration, consider closing your eyes during the practice. Prior to beginning, you may find it beneficial to perform a few rounds of Surya Namaskar A (Sun Salutation A) to release any lingering thoughts and tension from your day, allowing you to immerse yourself more deeply in your breath and practice. If you're following along with the video, we will incorporate a modified version of Sun Salutation A following the initial seated and kneeling stretches.
